All Performers Welcome!

Welcome to another exciting issue of Disney onStage. As the number and variety of our programs continue to grow, it’s worth noting that Disney Performing Arts isn’t just about singing or playing an instrument or dancing or acting—it’s about all of these activities. We have something to offer performers in every discipline, from the Disney Dancin’ workshop at Walt Disney World to the Auditions and Careers: Show Choir & Musical Theater workshop at Disneyland Resort to a variety of festival and performance opportunities for dancers, singers, and players at both parks. You can get information about all these options, and many more besides, in the pages of this magazine

Of course, no matter what they choose, young performers are guaranteed a fun, rewarding, and educational experience when they take part in a Disney Performing Arts program. It’s an experience like no other, and it helps to build three traits that are crucial in an ensemble: confidence, character, and camaraderie. When you come right down to it, the young performers who have had the benefit of this experience are members of an exclusive club. But up until now, that club hasn’t really been recognized as such. That’s why we’ve gone ahead and made it official with our new Ears for the Arts recognition. You can read more about it on page 8, but suffice it to say here that it simply formalizes all the things that already made the Disney Performing Arts experience so special.

As always, thanks to all of you for making our club such a large and happy one. Now, on with the show!

Featured Programs

Anyone who takes part in a Disney Performing Arts program—whether that's on stage or in a workshop or festival-shares a common bond. An accomplishment that turns performing groups the world over into Ears for the Arts members. From instrumental, choral and dance ensembles to theatre groups and everything in-between, each member has achieved something few will even have the opportunity to attempt. And now, Disney is inviting performing groups to come join in the fun, to see if they have the confidence, character and camaraderie to earn their Ears For The Arts. And when they do, they will receive an exclusive pin; a badge of honor to celebrate and commemorate their shining achievement.
