Two Million Performers and Counting!

Welcome to our second issue of Disney onStage, As you are busy preparing for a fall filled with field show performances, parades and concerts, we are setting the stage for one of the most anticipated milestones in the history of Disney Magic Music Days at the Walt Disney World Resort.

This school year, Disney Magic Music Days will host our 2,000,000th performer at Walt Disney World. Many of you reading this are a part of the rich history and tradition of this program, having marched down Main Street, U.S.A., around World Showcase at Epcot or starred on a Disney stage. That 2,000,000th per former just might be in your group! And, in true Disney fashion, we will certainly celebrate this magic number.

In addition to Disney Magic Music Days, our other Disney Performing Arts Programs are poised for another exciting year. The success of Festival Disney has been tremendous and we are thrilled with the response from directors and students about this Disney-produced music festival. It has quickly be come one of the nation's largest single-site music festival series. And, the Disney difference remains our attentive cast, Disney performance facilities and a panel of the nation's leading collegiate music educators—it's a winning combination.

This will also mark our fourth annual The Disney Honors. This elite event has quickly earned a reputation as one of the most distinguished and rewarding music festivals in the nation and is endorsed by MENC: The National Association for Music Education along with all the Disney Performing Arts Programs. The Disney Honors is the pinnacle of all music festivals.

On behalf of the entire Disney organization, thank you so much for continuing to make music.
